Sustainability
Sustainability at Kadoo Bali
Sustainability is not a trend for us, nor a marketing promise to be written once and checked off. It is an ongoing process that requires time, responsibility, and honest decision-making. Here are a few aspects we are proud of:
- No overproduction: We consciously produce in small quantities and focus on timeless designs that are not discarded after just one season.
- Environmentally responsible materials: For our activewear, we use REPREVE®, a high-performance fiber made from recycled materials such as discarded fishing nets, PET bottles, carpet remnants, and industrial waste. All fabrics are certified according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, ensuring tested quality, skin safety, and reliability.
- Social responsibility: We place great importance on fair working conditions and work exclusively with selected production partners. Our partners in Bali pay wages that are significantly above the local average and provide comprehensive health insurance for employees and their families. Through close and regular communication, we ensure that these standards are consistently upheld.
- Open communication: Transparency is especially important to us. That’s why we communicate openly about how our products are made, which materials we use, and the decisions we take when it comes to sustainability.
Zero-Waste Packaging
Kadoo ships its activewear plastic-free in sturdy cardboard boxes without unnecessary filler material. The tags are attached with a hemp string, and all packaging is recyclable and can be disposed of with paper waste.
