Sustainability

Sustainability at Kadoo

Kadoo transforms materials that would otherwise pollute the environment – such as discarded fishing nets, PET bottles, carpet remnants, and industrial waste – into high-quality swimwear and activewear. Each piece is ethically handcrafted in small batches in close collaboration with local partners in Bali – under fair working conditions, avoiding overproduction, and according to internationally recognized standards.

Swimwear

The swimwear is made from ECONYL® yarn – a 100% regenerated nylon fiber obtained from waste such as fishing nets, carpets, and industrial plastics. By using sustainable materials like ECONYL® and processing them into stylish swimwear, Kadoo contributes to protecting the environment and reducing its impact. All fabrics are certified according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, guaranteeing quality and skin compatibility.

The ECONYL® Journey:

Activewear

The activewear is made from REPREVE® – a high-performance fiber made from waste such as discarded bottles and old fishing nets.

The result is a breathable material with a soft, cotton-like feel that fits comfortably, shapes easily, and reliably wicks away moisture.

All fabrics are certified according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and stand for quality and skin-friendliness.

Zero-waste packaging

The swimwear and activewear is shipped in sturdy cardboard boxes – completely free of plastic packaging and unnecessary filler. The labels are attached with natural hemp cord. All packaging materials are either compostable or recyclable and can be easily disposed of in your home compost heap or at local recycling centers.
